Chubb 110

Ive recentally got one for picking practice, its an easy pick!! and i couldnt see what the fuss was about,

On opening the case i noticed that the levers have no false notches!! isnt this a requirement for the BS and if so does that mean the 110 isnt a BS lock?

Its a 2004 lock by the way.

It does have an overly complcated bolt throwing mech so the levers dont actually directally connect to the bolt, is this Chubbs way around it?

I've got a 3K70 dated 1976, with top and bottom anti-picks on every single lever! (Well, detainer)

These are three out of mine, and the notches are clearly visible. Even though I'm getting quite good at picking the lever locks (I'm getting halfway there with the 114 now!), this beastie is unbeatable! It is still far beyond my skill level.

Are you sure you're not mistaking it's shallow false gates for no false gates?

If it's got no false gates at all, then I can't see how it could be hard! With mine, it's impossible because the binding gate is lifted a fraction, comes into the false notch, and then goes loose. When you lift the next binding lever, it drops back out of the false notch. If you reverse it, it just gets stuck in the false notch. With no false notch, this would make it easy, since you wouldn't care that it was stuck there, as the lock would be open(ing).

Scan yours in and post a pic!

They must be some moody detainers if they have no anti-pick!

Im going to have to go to a mates house to scan them in as my scanner now watermarks any scans with a differant sites name on which wont look good, ill post up tomorrow.

There are no false notches that i can see at all, its seems strange the whole lever pack is this way if its a dodgy lever fair enough but they are all the same.

With no false gates the lock is very easy to pick infact i think the second time i did it the lock opened in less than 2 mins.

As i say its a 2004 lock and ive used a home made pick firstly and then used the CB pick for a ever-so-slightly longer picking.

I didnt get round to going and scanning them today as my mate was at work by the time i finished my jobs.

The levers are the same as NKT's except they only have the gates in, i must admit the levers seem poor as well as there are burrs on all 5!!

Ill try and scan them asap.

But the little bumps and hollows on mine are only a teenth of a mill dep or high and i can now pop this lock in under a min with a curtain pick!! surley there is somthing wrong.

Doesnt the BS say notches and not bumps?

I think Mr file will be out over weekend to be honest just so ive got some fun picking to do.

think of the bump as the real face of the leverand then it has notches
picking it in 1 min  mine keeps reseting and i can only gate 3 of 5 when i try on the others they all reset
i think have a bast@@d one
