New one on me

Postby acl » 11 Nov 2005 15:20

Mate of mine was on a warrant run in the big smoke today and called me with a problem,he had been with the same warrant officer the day before and had a bit of a mare with a lock (i dont have details on it) so today was looking to make a good impression and 1st job came up against an APG door,no curtain and couldnt get any levers to bind at all.He called to ask my advice.
I didnt have much time to talk to him about it but asked what the backset on the lock was and was told 50mm.Far too big for a common APG so it had me stumpted so i suggested it may have to be the rotary pick .
He called me late this afternoon and explained what it was.Any ideas?
If anyone comes up with the answer to this its worth a free night of beer at Telford, and that includes you Al! As ive said i didnt see the lock so only have his word on this but hes not one to make up stories. Over to you boys!??
