Hmm, Union do a APG lock with no curtain and a 48mm backset. KXT range I think. Nothing weird about that though.
I'm assuming a rail, not patch fitting?

Well I'l post some more guesses,
Erebus E2553? 40mm backset but long throw, absolutely no chance of getting one of these in an APG tho'
How about a bodged in safe lock? S5 or similar.
If not double throw Worrall 8852 or a butchered Crittall door, panel lock.

Hes supposed to be sending me a pic,didnt really make sense on friday im sure hes not explained right and i know i had had too much to drink when he did!
