Postby stevedavis » 14 Nov 2005 18:08

Trying to find out what keyway a medeco deadbolt I have is. It is a MAXUM Double Cylinder Biaxial. The part number on the box is:

Any help would be appreciated.

The keyway could be anything! Did you buy it from a locksmith? Internet? Depending on where you got it from you may not be able to find a key. Biaxial keys have expired as far as their patents go, but if it is a locksmith specific keyway, your odds of getting a key are slim to none. Does your key have a image on it? I Believe that if it is an American flag, you can go to a locksmith participating in the Medeco Freedom Package key. If it is anything else, you'll have to send it back to the factory. Even then, they might not cut it for you especially if you don't have a card.
