Don't ask how, didn't use my locker for the last two weeks, went to it today to drop a book of and when I kneeled down to start spinning I realized it had slipped my mind.
I don't know the model, it's a master lock though. I'll get the serial when I goto school tomorrow. Basically my situation is I have 0 experience with picking masterlocks and don't have real lock picks of any kind. What sort of approach should I take =\ Thanks. (also I don't really care about getting the combo back I just want to remove the lock, unfortunately bolt cutters aren't legal in schools )
And yeah I searched but I couldn't find what I was looking for, sorry if this was answered somewhere but I couldn't find it in my searches...

Does this lock belong to you? If so, what did you do with the little sticker that came on the back of it that you're supposed to put in a safe place? Stuck to a book inside of your locker?
If the school owns the lock, don't even think of picking it - it's pretty clear that around here you won't get any help picking locks you don't own. If it does belong to the school they should have your combination referenced somewhere by serial number and you should be able to simply ask for it.

Go as your janitor to snip it off. Most janitors have bolt cutters for instances such as this.

Have the janitor cut it, and replace it with a new one. Just remember to save the sticker this time.

Too bad! Sorry to put it in such literal terms but what is more foolish, Kneeling in front of a lock for a houror more, or a *at most* 10 sec. snap of the bolt cutters. To try and figure out the combo from scratch is more idoitic, not to mention you are loosing all that valuable knowledge

Depending on the lock, there's probably an easy way to have it off without damaging it in seconds. Another method exists for recovering the combination. If you SEARCH you should not have any trouble finding topics on both of these subjects. Nobody is going to hold your hand.

I find it hard to believe that schools still use combination locks that don't have a key override.
The financial outlay would be fairly minimal compared to the amount of locks destroyed throughout the year, and years to come.
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

I agree with skold,
I agree with the sugestions of getting the janitor to cut it off, tell him you havent used it for a year that should eliminate your embarassment,
You searched???? well search on this site because i know for sure you havent done that because if i put masterlock into the search im sure i would get over 10000 threads, if you mean you searched but after reading the first few threads got bored with all the newbie questions then right back at yer pal.
Breaking into lockers is illegal, dont do it.
You have a dial combination lock but youve searched the web for a lockpicking site to find this one and that alone gets my alarm bells ringing, youve then been told the best way to go about it by getting the building manager out to cut it off but you dont want to do that because it may embaress you. If its yours go to him after school, no one will be able to see your embarassment then, otherwise i think your trying to pull the wool over our eyes, your not the first and wont be the last but we find them out everytime as well.
