Have you read the MIT guide and the How things work guide?

Check the Faqs.

And what lock your trying to pick is important too

i just kepped on triyng when i cudnt open a lock. and now im finally at a level where i can almost rake all the locks open, but the problem is, my bad spot is picking pin by pin, it just gets so annoying cos it can take so long time (not that im not patiente or anything) but i am better at raking locks open then pin by pin pinking. and where i come from all the locks are so low security that its almost no problem to open them. i think i need more challenge.
right now i am trying to unlock my skill at lock picking

In that case, try Abloy, Medeco, BiLock, tubular locks and dial manipulation. Once you've mastered them, I'll send you a free ham (it was supposed to go to db for helix's back button, but it's still in my fridge).
