is the ring to prevent shimming but it can be easy removed by scissors. And when i push shackle it sticks and then i have to pull it up so what can i do does this make it non- shimable if it sticks when you push on it.

lets say theres 1 pin in the shackle so you use the back side of shim to push in then you turn so the shackle can push up and un-lock

Jason: Please click[THIS LINK], go to the picture of the padlock shims, and click to see a video of shims in action.

Most likely if it can be disassembled you can find a screw under the shackle that when loosened will allow the cylinder to be removed from the bottom of the lock. If you can get a clear picture of the bottom of the padlock we can tell you for sure.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Lol.

He meant the shackle socket, where there is the latch the keeps the shackle from opening. Where the shackle goes into.

Also, there's an edit button, use it.
