Master Titanium series padlocks...

I have tried picking these things unsuccessfully. I've ended up using a cordless dremel and cutting them off.

Are they just diffacult to pick, or is there another way to get them open?

i have the larger one of this model
when i got it home
i raked it open with my bogota in about 15 seconds
then i raked it open with a homemade rake
then i used a diamond to open it
now it sits in a corner junk box
it only has 4 pins

when people ask me about a good padlock, i pull this one out
it looks nice, looks tough, a little expensive
i tell them not to blink as i rake it open in front of them

If you are talking about the locks at the link below, then the reason for them being so difficult to pick is that they have a very small keyway and most standard size picks and wrenches just dont have the room to get in properly.
This is what i have found anyway?
If anyone else has had any succsess opening the small version of this lock i would be interested in knowing what types of tools they used.

Yes, Dark Angel has it bang on I think. This lock has often been a problem for many of the guys at my LSI meetings until I put the right tool in their hand. I have a pick I made out of sweeper bristle that is a very low profile hook. Hardly a hook at all compared to a SouthOrd small hook. But using this hook, each of my friends has been able to pick this lock.

There is one spool in position 2 if I recall.

Cheers!

Is this the green one with the cam inside so it sort of cranks open the wrong way? And there is a little shutter over the keyway?

I use a semi-standard twist flex tension wrench tensioned from the bottom of the keyway as usual. Semi-standard because I made it from wiper blade inserts and it's a little narrower than a SouthOrd.

Pictures will follow a little later tonight.

Pick will be in the mail tomorrow wraith. You'll find these are no problem at all with the right tool.

Cheers!
