I have an older Samsonite business case where the chosen numbers appear in 3 small windows and I discovered that on every dial, dust had settled on the number on display, but not on the other ones.
Turn the dials until you find the dusty numbers and you can open the case, as dust collects on those numbers that are mostly set, when the case is not used or "open", standing around.

- Dust briefcase on a regular basis.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

Bravo! I hadn't thought of that one - sesame locks are generally easy to pop, but now they just got a touch easier!

What an ass.
Yes, sorry for the garbage, i agree with sfgoon, a great tip, its often forgotten that there actually may be a simpler way to actually decode things like this from just opening your eyes, i also like the scuffing marks idea.

What an donkey.
I agree.
The comments regarding the "notes to self" reminded me somewhat of another joke on the internet, the punchline of which was the line that I had written.
I can see that I had said it completely out of context, and was offense to the community, and to the OP.
My comment was childish, but was said in jest, and only in references to the other silly posts.
I do appreciate the information that the OP has shared, as this would not have been something that I would have thought of.
Once again, I've failed to keep my off-the-wall remarks to myself. I apologize to everyone.

Stop writing notes. Face stabbing possible.
