2 things....1) I have a great design on a roll-up pouch, I have made 2 of them with the velvet-esque material from walmart for $6.86 a yard (more than enough for 2 cases), some one tell me how to post pictures in here, I have some hand draw blue prints(touch screen laptop) and some pics, it is a pretty good setup and takes about 5 minutes to make, and holds over 80 picks, all displayed at once, none fall out, and it rolls up to just a little bigger than a 20 piece lether store bought case....so some one just let me know.....and 2) after reading the posts on this paticular subject, all of which were pretty interesting and I could identify with, I only have one ?....what the hell is a computer pick?

A computer picks are set of picks which have been designed on a computer to open the maximum number of pin configurations. The idea being that you put them in and lift them up and rock them whilst bouncing the tension. Some people on this forum have had good experiences with them.

Theres a lot of history about computor picks, the originals werent designed on a computor and the computor was just added by somwhere like HPC to make them sound more technical than they are.

I'm not sure we've come up with a reliable "origin story" (comic buffs will get that) yet... several competing legends exist. And there's more than one set of profile picks out there, anyway, so they may all be correct.

Okay, 4 locksmiths were hit by cosmic rays, no wait... 1 lockie was hit by gamma radiation - you wouldn't like it when he couldn't pick the lock, no wait... In a small kansas town, a lockie baby was found after a meteor storm, no wait... The last know survivor of an atlantean locksmith shop, no wait... A bald professor runs a locksmithing school for "gifted" lockies, now wait...

I got bored one day and got into leathercraft. Now that I'm a locksmith in training I had a lot of tools and leather left over so I made a cool little case with cool snaps and stuff. I know I'll soon have to make a bigger one though.

I did it manually and found it very helpful to punch the holes first (ruler+needle+hammer), then do the stitches. I started with a small case for 6 picks. Liked it very much, but then I needed one for 16 picks. Very helpful to see all picks at once: Same thing closed: Then my pick set was still growing and I gave up and bought a small camera bag. @Geek142: Why do some of your picks have holes?
Wow, I love the big one, Mind if I copy it?

I make my pick holders out of duct tape, I lay a strip down and wrap it around each pick sticky side out, then bundle them all together with another strip (sticky side in this time), that way they are bound together and held semi-firmly. I also hollowed out a book to put the bundles in for safe keeping . I'll post pictures when I get home, also if anybody wants me to write a guide on hollowing out the book, or a more in-depth duct tape guide I can.
