Fortress

Postby pinpusher » 16 Dec 2005 12:32

I got a Fortress to day to play with (nast little thing, red case, curtain hidden behind case, blot thrower held in with two wards either side of case, and no dimples on side of the case) standard CB pick will not turn bolt thrower, CBE pick will turn bolt thrower if ward cut on side of pick, but DONT try this!! As no room for wire as well as pick. SV should be able to come up with a decoder for this one, as large differences on back of leavers. I will continue trying this beast and report back on any success!

Fortress

Postby pinpusher » 16 Dec 2005 12:46

Further to my last post, have looked at the lock further and noticed there is a stop to stop the bolt thrower being turned to take an impression of the back of the levers. Will have to wait for CB to come up with a pick for this one.

Hi Shrub I have now made tension tool for this one & useing a CB wire. But as yet no joy.Tension the bolt to much & the levers jam, to littel & they drop. For a lock costing £ 10 .00 its a bummer. I think pin & cam is the way, but the ward will stop you getting the 1st lever & will mean try pins in the make up key for this lever. Will keep trying. Have charged the drill. :( Eddie

Sorry Shrub did not have time to lock the fortress today (silly time of the year) 2 broken locks(size 10 pick used by tenants) & 1 key stuck in lock (to drunk to see if right key but will turn it till it breaks) but they pay the bills. Will try it tomorrow. :) Eddie

Sorry I've posted this in another thread but though it would also be
appropiate here.

The Era Fortress sashlock I have from City Safe Wholesale was
£14.17 (net). Most suppliers are still waiting for the Fortress to be
sent from Era but Aldridge and City Safe have them.
