Looking for a certain lock!

I was just watching the 2005 dutch open.. And It was the first prize winner I think that won it, Im trying to find that type of lock anyone have information on it? Also in the video where the asian guy opens the lock under 1 second they show it in that video to, it almost looks like a hinge but if you push a button it locks again? anyone know?

Im guessing it might just be european? I want to order one to be sent to the u.s...

You can buy them anywhere, though they are used more in europe on UPVC and the like.

Just a euro-profile cylinder. Not so much a type of lock as a build of one; just another alternative profile to a mortise, rimlock, deadbolt, etc.

I beg to differ. The euro profile cylinders are pretty hard to come by in my neck of the woods.

Ebay's always an option tho.

Heh... it'd be pretty funny to lay a completely goofy set of hardware on your front door (say, a BS lever lock above a push-bar secured with a Winkhaus), call a locksmith for an entry or something routine, and watch his face.

Then he asks you to show him the back door and you lead him around to see the X-09 with relockers :-D

Great plan until he pulls out the drill. Half these guys just walk up with the drill out of the holster anyway like they're some kind of LA cop doing a traffic stop.

"Yessir, looks like you'll have to drill 'er."

"Oh... my apologies, I'd forgotten about that layer of hardplate. I'll wait."
