sometimes yes.. but it's easier to set the normal pins than the security pis.

and if you get it just right then you'll know how muh you can bounce it without unsetting pins

just practice really :)

Very rare in production door locks in the US -- when you see them it's usually because the locksmith threw 'em in.

Meaning you won't see many locks coming out of the factory pinned like this (I know that many of you wiseacres can suggest high-end brands that actually do, but think what percentage of the locks in this country those comprise); if they're in there, they were probably added.

hey Badmonkey... do you have a locksmith nearby??

because if you go and ask them nicely they will probably give you some security pins from old locks...

try security pins and see how you get on with those.... it makes picking a bit more interesting... and more fun for sure. start with 1 and then try to put more in.

unicycle in locks

Postby onewheelchick » 14 Feb 2007 18:44

illusion wrote:imagine instead of having just learnt to pick a lock it's another situation...

if picking a basic lock without security pins is like riding a bicycle then picking security pins is like riding a unicycle.

they are both the same in a way yet they are both different, and take some practice...

or something like that... having raging insomnia recently :(

interesting....I know this thread is old and might get lost in the mists, or is it sands of time, but you never know.
Anyway without predjudice I ride a unicycle regularly and teach riding irregularly, and you're definately right Illusion...practice is the key-pun not intended- as with juggling as well and most things I guess.
