Thats the same thing with my 1st lock for some reason it binded 12345 i got a easy 1

Im not even sure if what Im doing is considered picking :oops:

all Im doing is putting presure on the cylinder, putting the pick in, and shaking the pick like crazy, but for some reason it pops right open

BTW its my brothers lock and I think he'd kill me if I popped it open and messed with the guts

What kinda lock is it your doing??? Mine was a BIRD very cheap and no security pins so pin picking was done very easy.

lol no thats not picking it pin by pin ofcourse your just jiggling it like in my vid, Everyone thought I was doing it weird/hard but ya know what it opens it

and is still in great shape.. but yeah try picking it pin by pin its alot more fun

ohh.... you're jiggling the lock with your pick... if you do it gently you can use a saw-tooth rake to great affect... rock it up and down gently and side-to side ever so slightly whilst trying diffeent tension whilst doing it... it can be very effective depending on the pin-combination.

single pin picking where you lift the pins up is considered to be icking but you've learnt a skill without doubt... skim through the MIT guide for details on how to single pin pick and moreso why you are able to.

as a side note I'll mention this now because someone ese will certainly... if your brother will kill you for taking apart his lock likely he'll do the same if you break it by picking it... get your own lock you can take apart.. then try to single-pin-pick... it's quite a feeling when you can do it

go to Zeke's website and download some pick templates... then just copy them onto hacksaw blades.

If you want to pick succesfully you may want to get a pack of picks of www.locksmith-tools.co.uk a pack you can afford. And I have the Southord 9 piece set (C 801) but if you want you can travel around the site onto other picks either will do.

I use to use allen key and paperclip now whne i look back at it, its pretty stupid. For a start the paperclip si way to bendy. Allen key was alrite. But when i tryed to pick the Bird which is SOOOOO EASY i could not pick with a paperclip. That just shows you i could of been there months maybes longer trying to pick wiith silly paperclips. :lol:
