Well 2hammers, welcome to LP101. Let me just say that this site is full of interesting and useful information, I hope you enjoy browsing the many pages here.

As for the 'sarcastic comment', that was simply a humourous remark and a play on words. I hope you don't take it to heart. Sometimes, it helps to be a little light-hearted on this forum, or people like illusion (he's scary  ) and SFGOON will tear you a new keyhole.

Anyway, welcome again, and I hope to see you actively participating in our daily discussions. :)

P.S. And watch out for DB, he's...... strange.

me??? - would I??? :P

you want to just be careful that db doesn't just peer into your bedroom through a window when you're sleeping... I still have issues because of that... the thought of him outside my window in that ninja suit gives me nightmares still

Hello everyone. I'm quite new here at the moment, both to the boards and to lockpicking. It's impressive how much information has been made available by this community. I really appreciate it.

Zenith wrote:Hi folks, I'm Mark and the main reason I'm snooping around here, is that on Boxing Day (feeling quite rough as well) I had a fight with one <censored> of a pad lock at work with a hammer the size of a bluebird toffee hammer.

Well after 30min of the lock (and nearly my arm) falling off I decided I needed to do some research on locks etc...

PS Please don't mention shims for a couple of weeks, I'm still in pain :)

You almost sound like an aussie?

English I'm afraid, all though some people do say I look a little bit like a kangaroo....at a distance....in the rain.... (It's probably the boxing gloves that confuse them :))

uM... Hi! I'm new (No, really?)

I am EGOOT. I like to be called EGOOT. My name is EGOOT.

I am not really sure what I am supposed to be typing here besides introducing myself, but.... (reassured smile)

I love challenges, from building the impossible, to chinese checkers.

And I have no idea when I first started to pick locks... When my brother and I were younger, we used to run around the upstairs hall, slamming and locking bedroom doors, and, well, necessity is the mother of invention.
And that is and will be the only time that I have or will pick a lock that is not mine. (VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BBAAAAAADD. Sorry guys) But, hey, I was, like 7 and not the world's smartest human. But NEVER WILL IT HAPPEN EVER AGAIN...

OK, now everyone most likely thinks I am a nut. But that is ok.

I can get very emotional, and sometimes ...scary. And I am Unique, eccentrical AND WEIRD...

I hope to spend a lot of time here, but I prefer to be outdoors than on the internet.

I have a wonderful dog, too. Her name is normal: PAL.

And I am happy that I have found this wonderful site.
And I love to learn..........
, -._,-. BEWARE, I am weird.
