Not sure if any lock cases conform to BS:2004 yet but remember you won't get a BS rated lock case on it's own as someone could install a super duper strength BS rated lock case and then pop a massively oversized Contract cylinder in there that sticks out an inch and has no escutcheon.

There are BS rated lock cases, not the latest standard, that come as complete kits like the Walsall from SKS that comes with boxed strike, cylinder and security escutcheon.

Evos right you wont get a case on its own with the kitemark.Apparantly they are not bs rated if used with ANY other cylinder ie the Union 2144 case with a Multilock cylinder doesnt technically conform. If this comes up on a job(as it did for me recently) inform the customer and get them to speak to their insurance company to make sure youre ok.

Cool that makes alot of sence :)

But as yet there are no cylinder/lockcase packages rated to the new BS-2004?

If a customer requires a replacment case/cylinder and their insurance requires it complies to the most recent BS what are my options? :!:

I received aa ERA Fortress from Aldridges yesterday.Only had a quick look but already i dont like it ! but looking at the forend plate i noticed a cylinder screw hole. I had a look through the fitting instructions(yes i do before some wag asks!) and there is mention of a Euroshield lock, wether its actually on sale yet i dont know.
There is a helpline 01922 490050 or www.era-security.com,im sure youlll get an answer there.

Why dont you like it? do you mean for picking or the quality? personally i like the ideas and thought gone in to the lock.
