rem oil as lubericant.

I know oil based lubricants are not reccomended since they gunk up locks, but is rem oil for guns ok. Im not even sure if it actually is real oil since it says it contains teflon.

any ides if it is a good idea or not?

i remember that thread :). normally i wouldnt think about using any oil, but i heard that rem oil is 'finer' then other oils and doesnt gunk up.

In normal conditions i wouldnt use oil mate, unless your trying to get through a heavily contaminated or gunked up lock. I've experienced some heavily gunked up locks mainly from long term outside exposure, or maritime use, with these oil was needed then a bloody good clean out.
Under normal conditions though a very small amount of graphite did wonders.

thats my 2 cents worth
