When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Quick lock pick question

Postby dark_desparado66 » 14 Jan 2006 0:24

Hey all new here. just had a quick question for all of you. i live in th US and i know how tight A**ed people can be here. ive made my own picks for a while and im kinda getting to that point to where i want something better something more professional (i pick as a hobby but am looking towards a carrer) now if i were to order picks online what are my chances of them sending my order to the police for registration or something? NOTE i am not a crook, burglar, theif, etc
i just dont want to get blamed for something i didnt do
any help?

No chance at all. In most states it is perfectly legal to have them, except you can't carry them around with you. Basically keep em at home and don't get caught with em in public, and you'll be fine

Yeah, I'd concur. In fact, many states don't even have laws that prevent you from carrying them unless you are caught with them in a situation which demonstrates "intent" to burglarize.

Your chances of the police getting involved at all? About 0 in 1000.

Also, lockpickshop.com is the sponsor of LP101 and, thus, offers LP101 members an LP101 discount. You have to enter a super secret code into the coupon box to get your LP101 discount. Only the super elite members of LP101 know what the LP101 discount code is. If you search LP101 you will probably come up with it though.

I guess it's a pity that half of LP101 don't actually know this super secret LP101 discount code.

Wow, next time someone uses the search feature to find the code they may actually find it!

It's too bad lockpickshop.com doesn't provide Peterson lockpicks. The discount would be nice now that they've upped their prices. I've had my eye on getting the plastic handles instead of the rubber ones I currently own for a while now.

Just had a look at lockpickshops products, their fiber picks, though expensive, seem like a neat idea. Anyone have an idea for a home made one?

Well, I'm not supposed to tell you this, but there's a super super secret moderator discount. It's not a code in the coupon box. You need to order 101 air wedges. Nobody would ever really order 101 air wedges, so this is used to signal the owner that you should get the super super secret discount. Once the order is fully completed, your order of air wedges will be deleted behind the scenes and the next time you visit the site, all items will be 110% off.

:)

P.S. If you try this you're a fool. Enjoy your air wedges.

i do seriously think though come tax time im gonna have me a fresh set of lock picks, also when i was browsing their site, i saw some tubular lock picks (just not my fancy who honestly leaves pins out in the open?)from greenwald industries. am i mistaken those are the same people that manufacture the locks found on a lot of vending machines? i guess they need more buisiness by having some crook buy one off the site and put it to work so the customer goes and buys a new lock
