Which one of the following pick templates can be used for making picks compatible with UK made locks:

HPC Standard Pics
HPC Regal Series Picks
LAB Double-sided Picks
Peterson Picks
Brockhage Picks

Which one would you suggest?

Also, should I adjust the distances between the teeth of snake-rakes to the locks I'll exercise on?

7 minutes? You can't wait for more than 7 minutes for an answer? This isn't a chat room. When someone wants to answer you they will. Posting "Help please" 7 minutes later will not get you an answer any quicker. If anything, you will only tick off some of the people who might have helped. Like me, for instance.

I didn't send the second message since I was impatient... I only wanted to add the words "help please" to my previous message.

I'm sorry to cause annoyance.

just leave it

Postby raimundo » 16 Jan 2006 15:14

Ok, I can see what you mean, the second post was an addition to the first because there is no way to edit a post after its submitted, so if something was incomplete or wrong, just leave it there, and either someone will add it for you, or you can come back to it a day later. In the case of "please", just forget it, theres not a lot of that attached to requests on these forums. it would be like putting it into a conversation too many times.

ill help i guess...
im not sure that i understand exactly, but if you want to know how to design hommade picks, i would suggest making a few hooks, half diamonds, and a tension wrench or two. a rake is alright to, but i think the majority of people would say that it is better practice to pick pin by pin until you are familiar with the basics.
Use the search button and look through the tutorials on this site. there is alot of information if you look for it
