I have had alot of success with this tool. To see results visit http://www.Locksportarchives.com/KEBUMP.htm .

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you never find an engineer writing restaurant reviews. ;)

From what I can see, the results look fairly evenly matched.

Just wanted to let you know how the tests were conducted. The locks were bumped across the test bed with each tool. I bumped the kwiksets, schlages, and the twin on each run of the tool and then repeated that process with the other tool. The same lock was not bumped twice in a row with any tool. I feel this gives more accurate results in the long run as you do not get used to using the same striking force to open a specific lock. I need to average the results I think so everyone can see a clear number, but yes Omikrons KEBump is just as good as the Tomahawk it seems. Once the half loop is added to the handle it will be the US Tomahawk 8) .

This reminds me of something I've been wondering about that Omikron can answer: what materials are you using? PVC for the handle and rubber for the head like the Tomahawk or something else?

The striking head of a Tomahawk is not rubber. I'm pretty certain it's PVC.

Ok, so same questions I asked before: how do we order (hopefully a simple website with a paypal setup), about how much will it cost, and, most importantly, WHEN???

Just to get a better idea of what those results mean, I copied and pasted those numbers into a spreadsheet, and averaged each tool's hits for each lock, and took the standard deviation of the mean. The difference of the average of either tool on any particular lock is well within the standard deviation of the averages of that particular lock.

In other words, not enough trials were done to determine which is better :) . Actually, they are very closely matched when you look at the averages, neither one stood out from the other on any lock.

I knew the data was limited, but if I were to get really good results I would need more testers also which I do not have. I did however feel that it would be best to post some solid numbers. I agree with you octillion, neither tool stands out from the other. That to me means that the KEBump has fulfilled its intended role as a US version of the Tomahawk :P .

I'm glad to hear things turned out well. Once I have the design verified and sent in, I will set up a page where people can be put on a pre-order list. Until I have a definite timetable, I don't think it's right to offer pre-orders.

That being said, I'm still working towards the end of January.

Soon devildog...soon... :D

I noticed that link is dead. Any other place where we can get preorder information?
