I was thinking of getting an air bag/wedge but i don't do cars so i'm thinking do i need one,what would i use it for or?
I'm just one of those people who likes new toys.Is it worth getting or should i spend my money on some nice shiny key blanks?

to seperate the door from the frame basicaly - interior manipulation.

depending on what you are going to with those keyblanks it may be worth it :wink:

an airbag has many other uses, and aids entry on wood ally and plastic doors, when you need that extra few mm of gap.

the air bag is very useful and i use mine to apply force in all sorts of places like opening a gap in doors for mica or popping cabinet locks. i think a good buy

And if you're hanging a door, pop the air wedge under the door and then you can raise the door into position with your foot while your hands are holding and marking the hinge positions.

The use of the "Old Bag" Under the door is "Brilliant Nigel" when drilling or mortice lock fitting.

Chris , if your using them for car work careful where you poke your slim jim , alot of the modern vehicles have side impact air bags, you could set one off and end up with talc on your face. The slim jims are pretty much usless on the modern vehicles though. :D

Activating a side airbag from the door cavity is largely a myth. They're heavily shielded and nowadays usually just part of the seat, anyway.

I've actually done some goofy stuff with my airbag, totally auto-unrelated. Think anything you need to gently pry apart.
