The weekend is the time for a beer or ten, do you have a mate to pass the work on to if you are socialising, or whats your procedure?

I would refer the call to a colleague I know to be reliable. If I'm not too soused to sound coherent, I might play it off as "Sorry, I'm on another call." (Those noises in the background? Uh... I'm doing a lockout at a pub?)

I'm always available, or try to be. I've not missed anything yet, AFAIK, by a cunning combination of call forwards, mobile phones, & non-geographic numbers.

But I can't always cover the job - last night it was an embassy in London. Sadly I didn't have anyone to pass it to, as my contacts were a bit short on being contactable in the right area - one had an incorrect number and no answer, the other went straight to voice-mail. Guess they were having the night off.

Nigel what on earth is AFAIK?!
Come on guys i think we all need a little time off at some time dont we? All work and no play makes for very dull boys.I should know ive had 3 weeks of abstenance! A lot of us have families and really they should come first eh?
If im for any reason uncontactable im lucky(is that the right word) to have Steven to take the phones etc and if we cant carry anything out we can normally find someone nearby who can. Contract customers obviously we always sort out. The calls we get at weekends /3am are usually someone who cant get the knobheads from RF etc to come out and have tried everyone in the book so i dont mind passing it on

Oh, I get loads of time off - I'm not busy most days with actually opening doors!

I've other things on the go, but when a call comes in, we answer it, regardless, as it could be one of about 7 businesses we run. There's not enough money from locksmithing just yet!
