hmm.. when you pick a lock you can turn the plug 360 degrees and then the pins drop back down so you must pick it again to turn it round a second time.
A plug spinner will spin the plug quickly so the pins won't have time to drop back down... this means you only have to pick it once f you need to turn the plug 720 degrees to unlock. If you pick the lock in the wrong direction you can use a plug spinner to spin it to the right direction.
DIY plug-spinner:
pick the lock and turn the plug until it gets to about 300 degrees, then put your tension wrench in the lock and hold it there. put an eleastic band over the tension wrench and stretch it (you must make sure the tension wrench is held tightly.
Now.... let go of the wrench!
the elastic will ping and make it turn the plug quickly. The plug will spin past 360 degrees.
It's really fun to do actualy
hope this helps
