Penknife to lockpick..is it possible

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Penknife to lockpick..is it possible

Postby chrome_gecko » 22 Jan 2006 20:39

Hi guys,

I've just been flicking through the forums, and i've trawled google but nothing came up. Maybe i ain't been looking well. My thought is this.

Penknife (quality one i.e. Swiss)
long hard week's work
Penknife with Lockpicks...

it would of course only need blades. and no fancy addons i.e. bottle openers...although that could be handy to open the bottle of stella artois you'll enjoy after finishing the project. So anyone care to help me come up with a plan?

Wait... are you talking about making a knife into a lock pick, making a swiss army knife with a lock pick, or making a jack knife lock picking tool which they already have many of?

Something similar has been done. Kinda like a homemade SO Jackknife.[/url]

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

the general consensus on that style of lockpick, is that they are not as useful as traditional picks becasue they give less feedback than other picks. However, tey do look pretty cool if you want one for show, and have anoter set for more challenging locks
