Info on buying a Chris Belcher curtain pick

Hi people,
I am interested in buying a curtain pick more than likely the 5/5.5 guage. I have used a curtain pick on the course i done back in the summer and i had good success with it. Not sure of the make of it but if i remember rightly it was similar to a 2 in 1 pick in design and had a red dial for the lever lifters and a black knob on the bolt tensioner. I'm not trading as a locksmith as of yet but i am practicing in the evenings and days off. I'm able to pick 2 3 and 5 lever with wires and 2 in 1 pick but i want to now start on bs mortise locks. I have the money for a Chris Belcher but i only have the certificate i received from course and not sure this will be enough to prove i want one of his tools for legitimate reasons. I dont want to buy one from SKS as i'm about to open an account and it does'nt look all that by Rimmer. I would prefer to buy what you guys suggest as being one of the best.
Sorry this is a bit long winded but basically does any one know if this will be enough to be able to buy one, or is there anything else i can use that you good people know off

Sounds like you were using the Safeventures pick on your course, speak to Chris B (on this site) he's very helpful.

Oh and so are the rest of you, before you all start. Well apart from Illusion, hes got too much time on his hands full stop.

Try asking duffels, they are the main distrubiter for CB picks and if they let you order then order,

email chris from his site at www.chrisbelcher.com , if you dont ask you will never know, where did you train ? explain your position to chris and suzzie honestly as they do check everyone who claims to be trading through yellow pages checks etc, though im sure chris will be sympathetic and help if he can.

the pick you used was certainly a safeventures tool.

I trained with Guardian locksmiths its now something else i believe like all about locks. It was not a bad course considering some i have read on here. They taught all of what people on here seem to suggest apart from the lock i.d. in depth but i guess that is something best taught by your self rather then rushed. O.k well i was considering contacting Chris B but i thought id ask here first in case someone had same experience. Well thanks for answering People much appreciated.

I emailed Chris and ME Duffells and they have both spoken im going to Duffells tomorrow so hopefully i can buy myself a Chris Belcher pick if all goes well and i can start practicing popping open bs's.
