Does anyone know who manufactures these? The seller states they can't be purchased in Europe, which leads me to belive it's an American company. While $35 isn't a terrible price, it would suck having to pay VAT and international shipping.
Any clues?

Where do you have to send the key off to to get another one remade? that might give an indication of where to start your search for the company.

I'm quite afraid I don't know the answer to that one either. Why would I know where to have a key remade? I don't see any posts of origin.

You do get some form of non-flexible key cut to the same shape as the flexibles, when you buy any of these locks, but there is no info to say where to send this to get extra keys.
On the flexible keys there are also some stylised letters, but the are all but unreadable. And there are no instructions with the lock (thats the padlock version by the way, I don't have the deadlock, and the seller is not very helpful).
Although it is a good idea, I'd be very wary of using one on my front door, I think the potential for breaking the key in the lock, (or your pocket for that matter) is just to great. Then you've got real problems getting your door open.
Will investigate the letters on the keys further, and I'll show Pinky in a couple of weeks, to get another opinion.

It's all about the tension . . .

Do you think you can open them with shims?
That would really make a fool out of the producer, i guess.

To get keys recut for this lock, the seller has said that you need to get in contact with him, to quote him exactly
"keys can be ordered through myself at a cost of 3 pounds a set of two .
There is a serial no with the keys and whenever or if ever you require a key then all you need do is contact myself"
That isget in contact with him, not me!

I think i might ket killed for tripple posting, but i can't find the edit function (is there one?)
here is the machine that makes the plugs, it looks like the pins are located in a standard line, but the keyway just snakes. have a look at the design diagram of the plug.

"2. The gold metal award obtained in the Shanghai World
Technology Exhibition in 1999. It's the only car lock of
cylinder that can’t be unlocked in more than 3,000
types exhibited."
And still they're breaking windows...
