Personally, I'm very satisifed with SouthOrd's newer tubular picks. They do variable tension and are very quick and easy to reset.
If you want better durability, but at a far greater cost, the HPC pick is good.
Of course, if you want "the ultimate", you might try dropping a small fortune on Person's PRO-1...

I honestly would probably skip the HPC. SO for the low-end, the Peterson if you have a real professional need, but the price-to-value of the HPCs just don't seem worth it.

7 pin is the most common I've seen in the UK beng used all over the place.
8 pins versions crop up a fair bit.
9/10.... Only seen a few of these.
I've heard the 8 pin version can be modified to also do 7 pin locks... but I'm not 100%

and also used them for the cheap combination button safes
the overide keys are tubular pops em in under 10secs
you get the gauge as well for the key code.
also handy for vending machines

Peanut pick? Got a picture?
The Majestic one is the one in the SKS catalogue, for £50 each, both sizes. I might order one, but I'm going to wait until someone's got one they want opened, since there's no point wasting the capital, and I can get it next day.
