Any info on picking the Master Fusion Locks

Postby GarythePick » 12 Feb 2006 2:00

Hi,
I work in a manufacturing plant that employs about 6000 people. 95% of which have lockers, toolboxes, cabinets etc... It is lock heaven. Over the years I have become the person to come to if someone has forgotten their keys or locked them up by mistake and such. Even security has used my services on occasion, mostly on unlocking vehicles. Usually if they are called on padlocks they just snip them off with boltcutters.
Anyway, lately I have seen quite a few of the Master Fusion locks showing up and wonder if any of you have picked these yet and have any pointers or advice? I know its just a matter of time before I'm ask to open one. They appear to have a small keyway. Any special pins?

Link to the locks I'm talking about.

ok.
they're easy.
a snake-type pick works best.
I dont think any masterlock under $9 USD is difficult at all....

You'll need a smaller tension wrench too.

Hi pick_maker,
I haven't had the opportunity to try picking one of these yet. I was just asking if there is anything special about these locks. I am seeing these locks showing up and just wanted a heads up on anything that may be special about them.

I probably get ask on average to open a lock 2-3 times a week. I usually succeed, sometimes I don't. Even with all the practice I get I'm not able to open them all. Mostly because I have a job to do and can't spend but a few minutes trying. Also the variety of locks is amazing. I would guess my success rate at 95%. I should be better but don't have an exceptional feel and talent for it, just lots of practice. I enjoy this hobby immensely, It's a great high being able to aid people in need.
Thanks all for the info.........Gary
