Hey everybody I'm new to this site and to lock picking. I finally decided to join after a month of roaming the forums and soaking up the knowlege like a sponge. It's much harder and much more fun than I knew.

Just Joined .. Just saying hello .. and after much, much, much, reading will try to be a active and productive member.
No real skills a few padlocks using shims, money boxes, upvc window locks using picks and tension bar, nothing to shout about. I've just accuired a pickgun and a MPXS-32 Thirty Two Piece Standard lockpick set.
I've downloaded about every picklock video there is.. plus pda info on "how to" etc.. just as a hobby nothing more, i fell upon this site purely by accident. my good luck or bad ? we will see I'm looking forward to learning the "art" the kudos and the skill involved is what first drew me to lockpicking. i'm in my late 30yrs no spring chicken i have that drawback of not being able to type or spell !! so please forgive bad grammer..
anyways thanks for the chance to rant.. and i'll be hovering in the background until i can comment .. regards
PS the nick is my ride.
You can lead a horse to water but it still wont put the kettle on !

So I'm thoroughly new to lock picking. I had no idea there was such an active lock picking community until last night, when wikipedia page-hopping led to links to this site. It all sounds very interesting to me, so I am going to try it out and see how I like it. I am a physics major, so nothing fascinates me more than figuring things out, especially things that you aren't supposed to be able to figure out.
As perhaps an unneccessary disclaimer, I am a very experienced and hence well-behaved newbie. The search page and I will be best friends.

Hi,
I'm totally new to this but it's a subject that I've been interested in for many years and I have a keen interest in pulling things apart to see how they work.
This site is a real find and I hope to be able to learn from the wealth of information that people have gone to great efforts to provide and being a regular user of various unrelated forums and an experienced internet user I'm familiar with looking first and asking second - I'm an IT geek by trade at the moment and I hope not to waste anyone's time and promise to keep my head down until I get a reasonable grip on the subject matter!
Cheers.

Hi all! I guess I'm the newest rookie to join the site. Found this site while I was looking for a way to unlock my bicycle...lost the key to the padlock on it and this wonderful community introduced me to SHIMS!! lol. I've been intrigued by the artistic and puzzling hobby of picking and hope to learn more since running accross this site.
