In the UK we have slots cut into the front of our doors, and mail gets put in through this. A letterbox tool goes through this slot and operates latches etc...

and if anyone could post a picture of what the kit looks like that would be great. Don't really have a use for it here in miami, but I am curious as to how it works, and how many pieces it is and all that jazz.

There nothing special, they are just bits of square section alluminimum that slot together with plastic joints so you can add bits as you go.

There are various bits for the end so you can oporate various locks.

As its a bypass method i dont think a picture in this post is the right thing to do.

I'm in WI, not much use for letter box tools here, but I vaguely remember a user mounting a pin hole camera bought off ebay onto the end of his letterbox tool and connecting it to his lap top. Seems like a solid idea. (Hope that information isn't too sensative?)

On a side note, I've flown back from a vacation in Britain recently. As I was driving the rental car out of the airport I was wondering why other motorists were so angry with me, that is until I remembered that I had to stay on the left side of the road... further embarrasing stories include my going around my first round-a-bout probably in upwards of 15 times trying to figure out how the lanes work, all while one truck driver had his head out the window yelling at me while turning his finger around in a circle.

It was a nice stay, I've visited Ireland in Edinburgh before, Northern Ireland in Belfast, been to Glasgow Scotland, and I figured I'd round out my British isle experience with a week stay with my sister in Manchester, who's living there for an extended period of time.

Guiness is even better in Britain than it is in the States, worth the trip in it's own right.

Before you guys get slaughtered on the Guiness can anyone shed any light on the RB mirror letterbox tool?it just shows the letterbox clamp in the brochure but no mention of the connecting sections or the fittings to manipulate the back of the lock,it is a bit more expensive than the souber tools one,is it a better quality tool?does it have any extra bells or whistles that are usefull?I would be gratefull for any advise before I buy one of these tools,thanks guys.
