Hey everybody. I've been fascinated with lockpicking for years, but only recently my lovely bride got me my first lockpicking kit. I've had excellent success and am very pleased to be involved in the hobby. Professionally I work in computer security, so it isn't such a big jump. I expect I'll be wading through the forums for a good, long time before I actually start asking questions (plus I'm waiting for my new locks, including medeco locks (!) to be shipped via ebay).

nezumi: should you feel inclined, and have a lot of time expendable, read the ENTIRE forum - it will tell you more than you'd imagine, and is filed with useful things that have been largely forgotten, and other things which are of great use.
Enjoy the site

Nerves provide me with energy... It's when I don't have them, when I feel at ease, thats when I get worried.

Hello everyone, my name is Traveller and I have a problem.....
hahaaaha
These intro threads at forums never cease to make you feel like you're attending an AA group session!
Seriously though, my interest in lockpicking started when I found the subject on the Internet AFTER I had used the destructive method to gain access to a padlocked case which someone had lost the keys to.
I then proceeded to successfully pick the lock with two hairpins; overjoyed at doing so, but saddened at the damage caused to the case.
That was my first and only lock, but now I'm yearning for MORE!!!! HELP ME PLEEEEEEEEASE!!

I'd buy drinks except I think it'd be a bit of a drive on your part without much payoff. Next time you're served bottled water at the pub, think of me and my American-"beer" plight.
That said, at least Maryland and DC have the lowest liquor tax in the US.

The reason for my joining was to learn from all you experts at this site, but looks like my first job here is in fact to TEACH you....
Golden rules to lock picking; number one:
Alcohol and lock-picking doesn't mix, I'm afraid, sorry!
