My Mul-t-Lock Rim Cutaway (Formerly Request for Pictures)

My Mul-t-Lock Rim Cutaway (Formerly Request for Pictures)

Postby n2oah » 12 Feb 2006 23:10

I am making a Mul-t-Lock cutaway that will emulate the factory one. I would like to see a nice, clear picture of the cutaway mortise/rim cylinder. I have searched the net, but I can't find one.

Anyways, I no longer need pictures, since the cutaway is finished. Here is the auction for this lock. Here are some pictures:

I will get you some pictures of some cutaways I have coming in within the next few weeks. I'd get them sooner, but my local MTL rep is having some major family issues at the moment. :(

i had seen on of these factory cutaways, the key was about a footlong and the cylinder was comparable in size. this lock was a huge cutaway. the interactive feature in the key worked too. now as per the original post, what size is it?

Just a normal rim cylinder. Anyways, I rushed ahead and screwed up the plug. I have another one, anyhow.

Once again Noah great job!! I am waiting for your dremel to die now. It is definately a "high mileage" dremel!! Keep up the good work!

Yes, my dremel is certainly ooing to kick the bucket soon. Right now, it looks fine aesthically, but the variable speed function no longer works. :?

My camera is a 3.3MP HP Photosmart 720. Not the greatest camera, but it is okay.

Yes, the though crossed my mind, until I noticed that the pins can rotate freely in their chambers.

Nice catch there Noah!! It would have been terrible if you ruined those pins trying  .

I was trying to think of a way I could stop the pins from rotating, but they are too small to work with.
On the oversized cutaways of Mul-t-Locks, they outer pins are cutaway.
