Aye right bunch of cowboys.
Here's my ad Image cost a fortune, or so I thought till I booked my YP advert! Unfortunatley the seem to have managed to get 3 RF adverts in before mine (I'm actually the last ad) I've had two job from it in the first month - one I did for a £10 as it wasn't urgent and I could get a key cut to code for the customer - and the other was at 3am - I guess RF weren't answering the phone!

They also seem to have gotten about 20 Lockies in Manchester and Liverpool down in the 24 hour locksmith category - and forgotten to put me in

Whats the differance between your ad and the rf one, they both seem to have local areas listed with a call centre phone number?!?!

Just interested.

All the calls come through to me - not a call centre. And I have a price on my advert - which I stick to. Also my advert has a little bit of Welsh on it - was supposed to be bi-lingual but after I complained about the first proof they chose not to send me another one.

The reason for the multiple numbers is I was going out to jobs for RF (in Bham) which were about 20 miles from my shop. But the customer had phoned RF beacause they advertised a closer town. Just upping the ante a little, and trying to beat them at their own game.

Well, for the record, I was told if my proof wasn't with me by the 6th March, about a month after I lined up my ad, then to contact them.

Phone call on Monday then.

Same as me, ive had the promise of the proof being sent 6 times now, i was told the proof was to be back to them no later than the 28th feb so the book can come out for the middle of march,

I got no proof but do have a email in which ithey have included my original one to them and it says in my part that i will not be paying for any of my adverts if i didnt get a proof and their reply said somthing like they understand that and i will get a proof.

Im just waiting for the book coming out at the moment, anything wrong and im off to the solicitor again

and i thought it was just me who has had problems with this bunch of idiots trading as a directory!!!!
similar problems encountered to everyone else, and found it unbelievable that they didnt send out a proof as standard, with enough time to make amendments!
stick to your guns though - last year i got a free advert, as they had made a spelling mistake in the advert, as it should have said "only pay one persons' wages", but actually said "only pay one pension pages" ! when i asked on what level this made any sense, they couldnt answer and offered a 50% discount, but i held on and got it free after two further phone calls.
This year i got the book through the door without seeing a proof, and although the address and main details were correct, i wasnt happy with the advert design, and was immediately offered 50% discount.
makes you wonder why it takes so long to get through to their complaints dept, and why it takes up to a week for someone to ring you back.
Surely we would not tolerate this from any other business with whom we are spending thousands!!!!
