Bye Bye Chubb ???

Postby SteveW » 24 Feb 2006 10:07

Has anyone heard about what Assa Abloy are doing ?

From what ive heard they are merging the Assa and Union brands into 'Assa Abloy Architectural Solutions and Chubb is going to be merged with Mul-t-Lock

They claim that Assa and Union will remain as seperate brands, but it looks like Chubb is going to be swallowed up by Mul-T-Lock. Does anyone else know anything about this?

I may have my facts wrong so please feel free to put me strait :?

But surely geting rid of the Chubb brand in the UK is marketing stupidity :!:

Cheers
Steve

The Chubb name is only used under licence renewed every few years. I think they want to keep it so this might be a bargaining ploy as well as a cost cutting reorganisation. The brand name will remain as long as they keep the licence.
