What kind of lock is this?

Hi. Simple question... What kind of lock is this? The one I see has "Abloy" etched in it. It is set into a T-handle on a vending machine.

Yes, looks an abloy. It's a disk lock. Not very easy to open. :P

It has a number of discs, the discs have grooves cut at certain points on the edge. The key turns each disc the correct ammount, and alligns the grooves in a straight line. Once done, a small piece of metal (the sidebar) will drop into the grooves, allowing the plug to rotate freely.

The disc mechanism is also used by Abus, and interestingly, Blackspur to name two.

LAI = Locks America Inc they make a copy of the abloy 1/2 moon + 1/2 moon with a groove , nice quality locks about 1/2 the price of an abloy
