The only markings it has is some chinese characters and "Made in China" stamped on the top. The key in the picture is the key that opens it. Would anyone here happen to know anything about this type of lock?
looks like the cheap sort of padlock kids get with their diaries.....try wiggling violently any old twisted bit of stiff wire or old flat key in it, applying slight tension as you do so, it will ping open.
If it doesnt open like that I will eat my own nose..
Hmm no dont do that, hammer a flat on a bike spoke and open the lock by turning the bit at the bottom of the keyway you may find it works with a small 90' bend in the wire instead of the flat.
They are one of the 'Diamond' brand made in Guangzhou, China and are among the cheapest rubbish you can get. Intrigued as to how bad they actually are, I've also just 'picked' one now that I had lying around by springing it with a piece of bent wire.
