hi, i guess i can be considered relatively new to this as i just recently (as in 6 months ago) made a pick set and started with it, but i've been bypassing doors for forever and a fortnight. as my signature suggests, i make everything i use (the rare exception is when i must get through a door and i have to improvise, in which case, i did not actually make the tool, i found it.)

seems to be an useful resource/something to do.

so i guess i'm just saying.......... hey.

Hello. New here. I have a general interst in locks and this site looks loke it has all the answers. I look forward to to learning all that I can.

Have been lurking for a while and decided to register. Just got some basic picks from Southord as I've done business with them for unrelated stuff.

I tried making some picks using a template with hacksaw blades, but decided to order some premade ones to get a sense of scale. I work with steel as a hobby, so hopefully I can use these picks as an idea for shapes and then use high quality materials to make picks that best suit my style.

Hey this is just a "thank you" to all you guys who have been here for a while. I just got into this and introduced myself here a week ago (plus or minus) and have just received my first pickset from SouthOrd yesterday. After only having some basic home made tools (pottery needles and a bent tweezer for a wrench) for a couple weeks, I received my real tools and I can now open my Qwikset up to and including 4 pins in any combination in seconds. I know I've still got alot more to learn, but I've already come farther than I expected. So, to all of you who are possible newer than me, stand on these guys.

I started picking locks,and learning about security many years ago,almost became became a locksmith,but my career took another path.
When I watched the ToooL bumpkey videos, it excited me about all the advancements in the craft,so I dusted off the tools (Boy i have a lot of tools).
I joined after Omikron's pre sale so I guess I'll have to wait for that one.
After lurking around,I almost feel as if I know some of you guys.
This is a great forum,as a result of a lot of hard work.
