Is there any larger wrenches than this?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Is there any larger wrenches than this?

Hello!

I would like to know if there's any wider tension wrences than Southords TW-01 ( http://www.southord.com/images/fullsize/TW-03-15%20.jpg ) aviable to buy anywhere, or if you have to make your own if you find them too tiny.

When I insert the TW-01 into the keyway of one of my locks it will be like the left lock in this picture http://i1.tinypic.com/rszk7s.png ( mirror-link: http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/5145 ... ers2rr.png ) which I don't like. I prefer keyways where the tension can be placed like the right lock in the picture, which I like much more.

Am I the only one here that finds there left picture method very uncomfortable?

I would like to know if there's any wider wrences to buy, or if I have to either make my own or having to get used to the uncomfortable way of putting tension on the left lock in the picture?

Yes, the keyway is pretty big.

The Peterson U-Bend it kit contains wider strips, so that you can make a tension tool that suits your needs.

If you start collecting the metal inserts that stiffen windscreen wipers you will eventually find a wider piece to use.

If this is the case i, would simply tension from the top...

In terms of width I don't think they do make a wider wrench.

If you really must go from the bottom you would have to make a new tension wrench, unless another company makes them bigger.

Have you tried Petersons U-BEND-IT yourself? Does it work well or are the strips very soft (so they break easily or something), or does they work well?

Which of these kits do you recommend for my needs?

I have the Peterson set. The bending tool is quite nice to use, especialy if you just want to make a slight bend and you are without pliers. The steel is very very tough, and of very high quality Either kit would be good to have. I like having lots of tension tools, for all different situations, so I would usually get the larger kit, but the smaller kit will do fine if you are looking to save money.

May I suggest that you make the wrench yourself, that way you´ll get what you want, and it is easy, all you need is a nail(see pic. 1, 2, 3, and 6), a hammer and a couple of pliers and then a block of metal for the hammering.

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

The Peterson kit is to make your own wrenches, you just get a selection of really nice steel to do it with.
