Don't even trip about those people ripping on you-- I found your ideas amusing and creative, even if unworkable.

Can't be done (and i'm 99% sure about that).
You were told so in another thread, please don't slap them in the face by asking again.

I don't think that i am able to open the lock you're displaying with my Southord picks, and i've been picking for allmost a year, and reading on picking for 3 years.
So i practically KNOW that you won't be able to pick that lock with improvised tools.

No ofense, but if i were to try to open it, it would be a matter of skills (that i lack).
If you were to open it, it would be a matter of tools AND skills (that you lack).

No disrespect, really, but i think that you should start off with a cheap brand 5 pin cylinder. That's a lock that you might actually open without the key.
Spending hours on that ASSA needlessly will only kill your self esteem.

Don't take this the wrong way, i like the way you don't give up untill things are opened, but you're trying to run before you learnt to walk, no.... learnt to crawl.
Lockpicking takes practice, lots of it.

Yours,

Jordy

I'm sure of either of these two things. There is someone on this earth that can open them with improvised tools, or someday someone will be able too. hahah neat thought.

see the little blue handled pick in the top corner? my friend used your guide, made the rake pick (only 2-3 bumps on it though) plugged it into an old handle taht looked like that and screwed tight.

then opend my backdoor that has i think 2 securtiy pins.. with a rake-paperclip. in 30 seconds.

WHOA.

excellent guide my friend.

Hey sams choice,

I know I'm new here, but I would just like to say that I found your guide fascinating and extremely effective given that this is not the best pick making materials. I have personally used a safety pin for weeks and weeks succesfully as I have been saving up for a SouthOrd combo set, and was extremely pleased to see that there is someone out there who is not only using improvised tools, but adding innovation to them.

I mean really, theres some serious ingenuity here, padlock paperclip shims, who wouldve thought? and I reallly liked your autopick designs. Keep up the good work and I think this is really an excellent guide.
