Does anyone have any dealings with these locks?

Seems like a great way to lock yourself out of your house.

Let me guess, you were searching ebay?

Just a Kwikset with one-way rotating collar that is connected to the bolt. It would be a decent idea if the lock weren't just kwikset.

I could imagine this would really increase the number of household lockouts.

Keyless locks are the way to go. I'm thinking about buying one for this house, but I can't find one that looks good and functions. I want to buy a Weiser powerbolt or whatever they are called, but they look really cheap.

I love the idea. My roommates only lock the knob lock with the spring latch because they are too lazy or in a hurry. It would certainly help when running to catch the bus.

You could replace it with a medeco plug, then you will have a bit more security. but then the whole expensive lock, cheap door theory. Also mustard fingers. hahaha mustard fingers.

I wonder how the notch for the sidebar will get into that cylinder

Something tells me that he made up those stats during that pause before he said them.
