I love this Rake. USA Crew

I got a set of Dino picks at a store, just to get into the sport. Came home and was terrible and couldn't get any pins to even set. I pull out this rake the next day (today) and it will open all 4 of the Schlage locks I have in my house, all are different keyed and it takes little to no effort.

It looks like this except with a reinforced handle, it has one extra tooth (w/e it is called) and has different valley depths.



I am a beginner at best and am having a great time.

raking a lock gives you quick confidence
but you're not going to learn
how to pick pin by pin with a rake

when i got my Bogota rake from raimundo
i thought it was the cats meow
i was raking everything in sight
but it was too easy ( no offense, raimundo )
and using a rake wasn't going to help
me learn pin by pin picking
every now and then, i pull out the rakes
( bogotas and homemade ) to make sure i still can

but the skill/challenge is pin by pin picking

Yes raking is like 1% usefull when you come acorss a lock that all the bottom pins are same size, the Abus discus uses the method High pin, low pin, high pin, low pin, high pin.


Pin picking is your only way of picking this or any other lock with this in it.

One boy iv'e heard raked a Abus discus in uder 10 seconds This wasnt skill but 100% luck.
