Just picked my first lock! :)

Hello!

I did it! =D After about 10 minutes, i finally managed to open it!
The lock was an Abus 35/80, and i picked it with a regular hook. ( Flat tip).

Anyway, is this a really easy lock to pick, or can i be a little proud? =D

( Just picked locks for three days, and that was only those very cheap padlocks which costs 3$

)

Thats the padlock that has Plastic over the actual body of the lock and comes in differnt colours ya?

does are very easy, I sometimes do them under a second...with luck but never 10 minutes, but my first time i use 3 mins
but did u buy a lock pick set?

Congrats. Try the Abus Buffo discus lock, that will be a more of a challenge.

As a rough guide, the smallest padlocks in the Abus range tend not to have security pins, don't know in this case as I'm still not sure exactly which one you picked.

The larger 85/50 for example has 5 spool pins.

Yeah. Kind of..

A friend of mine gave me this 11 piece set, but i used a homemade hook ( Made out of hacksawblade)

After a few days of pratice, i can now open the same lock in 20 secs max.

My first pick was a crummy no-name padlock. It still took a while the first time. Now its jsut a few seconds.

Congratulations, although that lock could have been easy, Abus does make some pretty difficult locks. I have one that is very easy to open, I don't have the key, but from picking it and feeling the pins, I ave determined the key must look somewhat like a n upside down triangle. (Pins 5 and 1 set high, 4 and 2 medium, and 3 is very low.

I have found that extremely light tension on these locks works wonders.
