The picture posted is the am4 keyway.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Thank you zeke for saving me the time of going through the kaba-ilco site and waiting for adobe to load...
American Padlocks? Any recommendations? In what retail store might one procure one of these locks?

Thanks

Locksmith only :)

Ebay would really be the best bet if you don't want to pay retail from a lockie.

I am slowly i mean slowly making leway on my brinks as pictured a few posts ago, i found putting the tension wrench in the top sets the pins alot easier, i have come close to picking but i almost had it and the wrench fell out, i will hold to my word, for ten dollars, this is the most formanable lock i have ever bought.. and if american locks are even harder god help me. Anybody have any insight on why its easier to get a false set witht he wrnech at the top instead of bottom?

I think thats what i am gonna do, off to the junkyard tomarrow, i dont feel like running thre again so i am just going to get 40 wiper inserts and some dip sticks, i already have like 50 hacksaw blades.. its a riduculous amounts. But after work thre nothing to do so ehh make a couple picks. I hate this lock though seriously i get it to false set but then i get jammed.. well i found what locks going on my shed :P

Yeah, that's exactly what I am talking about except at the walmart in my area there are only two sizes of the Brinks discus locks. The fact that there is a third size is news to me.

I don't know if you have a pick n' pull in your area (unlike a junkyard it is all cars), but that might be better. You can find some real treasures there and look at the car locks and mechanisms and take them apart. Because a lot of them are missing the interior parts you get a real good view too. They won't even trip if you pick the car locks. It's a fun place.

The first letter is capitalized, and there is a period, but THAT IS NOT A SENTANCE! Your writing skills are a disgrace to the English.

Your disgraceful grammar aside, there are a few Brinks locks that seem to be replicas of the Abus models. It is possible that Abus is making these locks for Brinks, but that is not necessarily true.

Hey Omikron, why don't you let up on the kid. This is a forum, not an English paper, and we all knew what he meant. Plus, it is sentence, not "sentance."

That aside, all of his posts are either hard to read or don't make any sense altogether. I stay mostly quiet about this issue but I'm really getting sick of it. He doesnt seem to make any effort to improve his posting quality at all, and fails to grasp even the most basic guidance. I know I am not the only one who has this opinion and there are many others on this board that share this opinion with me.

I have tried to personally help him out before via IM and he is absolutely insufferable. He has no patience at all. Frankly I'm surprised he figured out how to even register for an account, let alone use it. His age does not excuse him from the fact that he is expected to write contributing posts that are easy to read and to under stand. There are people on this board, whom I will not mention, that are close in age to Jason and yet, if they wouldn't outright tell you their age, you would believe that they are at a collegiate level.

I can tolerate a good amount, but at some point someone has to say something about it.

Jason13's posts leave something to be desired

but i think his desire and enthusiasm for the hobby
of locks/lockpicking win out over grammer and spelling

Yea its a pick and pull, Its basically like 4 acres or cars to take what oyu want for a steal price. But wipper blades and dip sticks they dont even care there like just take them we have no need my buddy asked and he told me. I have a set of auto jigglers so i will probobly take them there to and practice, i might even get a few car cylinders. These places are golden for pratice i agree.
