If you are new to lock picking and are looking for a very simple lock to begin with i recommend the Abus N-55/30 3 Pin tumbler pad lock.
These can be found just about anywhere that sells cheap locks.As for picking the lock it only has 3 pins so its fairly easy to open.

Anyone know what the little hole is for ?

Its loacted am 1 cm below keyhole.

is'nt the hole for drainage, ie water, moisture ?

I have two Abus 65/40 padlocks keyed alike, one will open

easily every time yet the other one can be really difficult to

open and can take ages. The secret with both of these locks

is very light tension.
