i have done warrants for 11 years, and it appears now that the companies concerned are keen for all sub contractors to open locks, especially on metal Sitex or Orbis doors on council properties, without drilling. At first i looked around and tried to guess which would be the best ones for me to
use with minimal skill and without breaking the bank.
As with anything, it is all down to individual preferences and abilitites, but i have found that the new securefast decode set is great for these types of doors, as you need a key to retract the bolt, thus rendering a standard wire pick ineffective. This can open the door within a few minutes, although the one downside is that due to the nature of these doors, they are rarely opened and occasionally vandalised, so there is no always sufficient tension available on the bolt to retract it once you have made your key up. I am definitely not saying this is a fault with the reader set, as it is a very valuable tool in my van, but i wonder if anyone out there has devised a way of applying more opening pressure without bending the reader pins?

Although i realise the difficulty in trying to explain in laymans terms how to pick locks, i would like to see more picks come with such detailed visual instructions and helpful hints.
