Hey all.

Just a quicky, but I found a small guide regarding 4 dial combo locks commonly used for bikes.

haha i own that lock!! it is an extremly cheap lock. well i dont own that brand but the same thing. I quickly ran to my lock to try out this method and it does not work. The mothod i use is start with the first number and pull to the left, when it gets to the right number it clicks and the number is locked. Now move to the next number and so on. It is pretty easy, but again i picked this lock up for about $2 i think?

Thanks a lot for that guide!

I was actually able to open an old combo lock I had laying around with that. Took a bit of work to get the discs to slide, its really quite old.

it is a good post, just didnt work for my lock. It wont move but the method i said works.

I just picked up one of those locks the other week, since it was only a buck .98. just tried the method, and it worked like a charm. almost too easy....but I guess it's true : sometimes you get what you pay for...

mine doesnt make a gap. No matter if i put it on the right number it doesnt move. I have to move it up and down to feel that it is the right number. Wiered i guess. Maybe mine has a machine defect that worked in its favor a bit? i dont know...

I had a bike lock like that 10 years ago back in primary school. First lock I ever opened, and using that method as well, figured it out all by my ten year old self. I'm going to see if I still have it lying around, Nostalgia and I'm only 20.
