New Video about picking a ABUS Plus lock.

Postby Sennheiser » 30 Mar 2006 12:48

Hello!

A friend of mine have just (about 5 minutes ago) released a 3:30 minutes video with picking and some explainations of a ABUS Plus lock.

May I post the movie here or does it belongs to the Advanced section?

I'll wait until I get an answer from a moderator until I maybe post it, with the moderators permission.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm... that'd be the 88/50, which is a disc lock.

Picking in under 3 minutes? - that's really fast even though it only has 7 discs...

I'd like to see it, but yes it is advanced forum material... :(

It's mostly explaination though, not really picking but it will teach you pretty good how an ABUS Plus disc lock works.

( You can never have enough picking videos ;) )

So does he [i]actualy pick the lock open[/b]?

As it happens I reckon it's still advanced even if it doesn't have any picking... but we'll wait for a friendly LP101 ninja to make judgement.

He does not pick the lock in the real meaning of the word, he only explains how it works. The only "picking" part in the movie is where he shows how to pick a lock with the ABUS-tool but he have taken out the plug so you can see the moving parts, so there is no skill in it. It's just to show how it works, I don't think he is very good at picking it (for real) yet. He haven't had the tool for so long, he bought it a few weeks ago I think.

But yes, we'll wait and se what anybody says. If it can be posted or not.

After seeing it, and then reviewing a few publically available videos on picking, I think it can be posted here no problem. I didn't see anything that wasn't already commonly looked at by lp101 members.

However, more specific information on using/obtaining that tool would belong in the advanced area. Am I right that one of your members made that tool, or is it the Falle tool?
