Thank you for that almost wonderful video. It was the first time i have seem a shim video (other than the h2k videos) and I think that it is great that you took the inichiative to make something like that. I also liked the cat in the background . Now, I say that this is an almost wonderful video just because the camera was to low and we could not see the actual inserting of the shim. However it is pretty good none the less. I would highly recomend watching this video. I had trouble watching it because i couldn't connect, but then when I right clicked and hit save target as i could view it perfect. And so ends my review. All in all i would recomend everyone to watch this, as it is a small file, and even if you dislike shimming it shows how to make and use some cheap shims. Thanks JasonLynn

Great work. Might be worth taking a few screenshots (or photos) and a short description and putting it on a site for people who have dialup. I have broadband so I really do not mind
Thanks again for the video, hopefully we will get less posts on this topic.

Too soon Marso.......
It was the first time i have seem a shim video
I've seen one or two videos where I couldn't work out if it was a 'she' or a 'him'.
Now, THAT's a shim video........
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

lol... the cat is funny.
Jason: great vid, very informative. I'd try it, but i'd probably cut my hands like no other on the popcan..
Marso: i'm on dialup at the moment, took about 20 minutes to download, definatly worth it.

If you use sharp scissors to cut the can, the edges arent as nasty as you think they would be. You could also use a bit of scotch tape on the handle areas so prevent lubricating your locks with blood.

I've tried divx and even it wont work, could someone give a small explanation on making and useing them?
I tried making some for myself but they didnt work. My problem is that i cant get the shim in the lock( it's a dudley combination lock), i tried to put it on the inside of the shackle, above where the locking mechanism is and pushing it straight down but it wouldnt go.
Then I put the shim in place when the lock was unlocked and pushed it shut then tried to re-open it but ended up having to use the combination to do it. When I did I found the shim had been bent to the shape of the locking mechanism.
I used the popcan metal single thick, do I need to double it up? Thanks, if you read this far, and any help or instructions would be great as well.

that link isnt working anymore. jason you should take pics of your shim next to a ruler so people would have some dimensions to work with.

He's right
The link does not work
do you have the dimensions? (I am a bad speller)

What is at the beginning of eternity, the end of time and the start of every ending?

I_want_to_pick: You dont actually need DivX, just the DivX codec. You can find it on the same download page as the main DivX package. If you get that you should be able to watch the video with Windows Media Player (presuming that you use windows).
