Southwest Locksport Skydive this Summer?

Postby Raccoon » 6 Apr 2006 6:57

Lockpicking + Skydiving. Two great tastes that taste great together.

I see a growing number of South-Western (United States) members on these forums, and think it's high time we organized some sort of outing. My idea of fun would be trying to pick a lock whilst falling at 120 mph some 3 miles above the ground. Just 60 seconds before your paracute opens... do you have what it takes?

Be the first in our profession to attempt such a stunt.

If you dare.

PS. If you haven't already, add yourself to the member maps.

Would that I could. I jumped a couple times in my teen years, and I'd probably consider doing it again, but geography will stand in the way of my attendance on this excursion.

If you guys pull it together, I wanna see pictures! Lots and lots of pictures!! And I will pay 5 CANADIAN DOLLARS to anyone who finds a creative way to tie in lockpicking with the event. You hear that?!?!?! 5 CANADIAN DOLLARS!!!! If it's creative enough, I'll even frame it for you. :P

I'd love to!

Caveats:
a) Not this summer-- Two jobs, three conferences, and a three week trip already planned mean I'm booked.

b) Unfortunately, I need to learn the gentle art of skydiving first -- is there a beginner class associated with this venture?
