Well the guys from safeventures have done it again , i just took delivery of my new safeventures ERA fortress decoder, and it works a treat.
i played with the dozen fortress locks in my stock and all opened in 5 mins and under, so 1st play session was a success, have another dozen locks to go play with in the workshop later on.
The pick exploits the lock to a T and is an accurate decode, though the pick works differently to all other picks from safeventures , even though still on the bar ( slide ) decoder style, it takes a little getting used to but once familiar with it, its a cool tool.
i know benny has only 10 at the show at the weekend, so anyone wanting a new toy would do well to call and reserve one, though for those that can wait till after show he has 10 more to box up and 20 more on order.
i dont know if it will be on special at the show , but the non show price will be around the same as the walsall decoder at around £550, though dont hold me to this.
oh how it shines and i love my shiny toys !

Pinky, how many you got then ? One for each hand ?

It's all about the tension . . .

You're right Martin, it does take some getting used to, certainly more than any of the other BS kits, and is no magic tool that you'll just start opening with without practise.
I spent quite some time with it before all became clear. Now though, sorted and as reliable as the rest of the collection. Great kit from them, as usual.

Agreed.
I used it for the first time tonight and opened the first fortress lock in less than 2 mins at my first attempt with the pick. Its spot on.
Essentially if you use the Invincible pick, you will have no problem as it is that same slide code principle but you use short reader pins first and if there is no gate detected then move to the long pins ... you decode 4 levers and then work through the pins 1 to 7 on the last lever .. simple and effective ..
its a must buy and works ...

The only thing that can catch you out at first is the false gates. Some locks will decode straight away with the first gates reached while others, for instance, will read a number 4 lever when, if you run through with the long reading pin too you will feel a larger gate reading a 2, and the number 4 gate reached will be the shorter false gate.

the pick is well made for this as there is around a 5mm slide length between each mark .. a false gate will move 1 or 2 mm and a true gate much further .. lovely stuff ..
